exhibition Karol Kosmowski in color

From my wide activity, which includes activities in public space, street art interventions, but also painting and sculpture, the exhibition at Otwarta Papiernia will present several selected series of works. The exhibition includes a series of paintings, a site-specific installation, made especially by me in the former Karkonosze Paperworks at Kilińskiego 11 in Jelenia Góra. The " Karol Kosmowski In Color" exhibition is complemented by spatial objects.

Geometric landscapes only seem to be the result of full, mathematical control over the work. The artist includes an element of chance in his work. He fills the geometrically developed grid with colors, the choice of which is only partly under his control. Some parts of the image are filled with colors on a random basis - a dice or coin roll. However, fewer images are made using a random technique. Specific shapes, figures and views emerge from the grid of mosaic fields. It turns out that where there are depicting elements, objects in the painting, the artist selects the colors himself.

Geometric landscapes only seem to be the result of full, mathematical control over the work. The artist includes an element of chance in his work. He fills the geometrically developed grid with colors, the choice of which is only partly under his control. Some parts of the image are filled with colors on a random basis - a dice or coin roll. However, whenever his decision is not necessary, he leaves it to chance, relinquishing control and withdrawing from the decision-making process. The following works were made with this technique. Two colors by coin roll and six by dice roll.
